Who are the Sandersons?
As a family the Sandersons have been involved in the stone industry for almost 200 years, so you could certainly say its in our bones. We have records of the family quarrying flagrock as far back as 1827 in the family owned quarry in Whitworth, Lancashire. From those humble beginnings, we went on to supply prestigious projects such as the the Chelsea Embankment, the M62 construction and more recently we even supplied a small quantity of reclaimed paving to Buckingham Palace.
How did we get to today?
The company was founded by Graham Sanderson in 1981 as the Lancashire Stone Centre, this was later changed to Sanderson Stone when Graham’s son Ben took the helm and oversaw the incorporation of the company. Today, the team at Sanderson Stone have a wealth of experience in both imported and domestic stone, with Graham always willing to offer his guidance and invaluable expertise when needed. We specialise in sourcing and supplying high-quality Indian Stone. Graham made his first trip to India back in 1966 and we imported our first container of Indian Stone a quarter of a century ago.
